Manipal Academic Exchange of Student Traineeship and Research Outreach (MAESTRO)

Founder and Team Lead, Manipal, India | January 2020 – December 2020

  • Headed the university's initiative of developing and running an online incoming portal for foreign students all across the globe. The exchange portal is the first of its kind in an Indian University.

  • Effectively lead a 30-member team that aimed at running and maintaining the portal allowing students to browse through various available projects and apply for them on the subject of availability.

Campus Ambassadors Manipal                                                                                                       

Vice President, Manipal, India | August 2019 – August 2020

  • Effectively managed a 45-member working committee to be part of the central student representative body of the university.

  • Conducted bi-weekly cultural events for exchange students to experience an accurate picture of the different cultures of India.

  • Part of the editorial team that released 4 magazines which were an executive summary on the work of the Office of International Relations and Collaborations, Manipal University.

Tech Tatva (College Technical Fest)                                                                                               

Event Head, Manipal, India | March 2019

  • Led the ‘Gaming’ Committee at the annually held cultural fest.

  • Effective planned, publicized and executed the event, which eventually had a record 392 participants from all over India, the highest participation seen in any event during the fest.

 

Revels (College Cultural Fest)                          

Event Head, Manipal, India | August 2018

  • Led the ‘Print and Publicity' Committee at the annually held cultural fest.

  • Coordinated a group of 90 undergraduate students to design and create 200+ posters and models that were displayed all over the university campus.

Volunteering Service

Teaching Assistant, Manipal, India | January 2021 – May 2021

  • Guiding 20 undergraduate students towards successfully publishing individual research papers in an academic journal. 

  • Session Taught: Fundamentals of Research, Ethics of Research, Sustainable Energy Systems.

Volunteering Service Organization                                                            

Group Lead, Manipal, India | August 2019 – March 2020

  • Managed a group of 10 undergraduate students while undertaking sensitized activities with the underprivileged at the town hospital’s psychiatry ward.  

  • Activity modules were scheduled to take place every weekend.

  • Demonstrated keen interest in societal support and developed valuable empathetic traits.

 

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)         Local Committee Member, Manipal, India |  January 2018 – November 2018

  • Selected as part of a student cohort that aimed to improve existing university exchange programs.

  • Took part in various cultural activities that aimed to showcase the diverse Indian cultures to various forging interns on campus.

  • Developed an in-house documentation framework that assisted incoming interns in clearing several bureaucratic obstacles upon arrival in India.

  • The local committee was awarded the best performing local committee in the nation during my tenure.
